How can I use the API?

You can send data from your system to ours, primarily for construction product data. You can upload data to our EPD Compiler or, if you have a "fully integrated pre-verified tool," you can upload data directly to our database. Learn more about tools in General Programme Instructions version 5.0.0 (GPI5). 

• Upstream (sending data to us): JSON “full EPD format” (all information visible in the EPD PDF document). 
• Downstream (retrieving data from us): See the data you can download via our API on the Developer Protal and review the Swagger documentation for available endpoints.

Note: You are not permitted to refer to data as an EPD unless you:

1. Display all the data from the EPD and reference the EPD via a clickable URL.
2. Alternatively, display partial data but still reference the EPD via a clickable URL. Regardless of whether you display the full EPD or not, the use of the logo of International EPD System is only permitted if the logotype is hyperlinked with a clickable URL to the EPD.
