The General Programme Instruction version 5.0 has, compared to the previous version 4.0, some stricter requirements stated related to logotypes on the EPD cover page. Information about the EPD cover page requirements can be found in GPI version 5.0, section 7.4.1 COVER PAGE. Rules regarding logotype use are also summarized in this article.

The below bullet list summarizes the updated logotype use requirements for the EPD cover page. The new rules for logotypes will be mandatory after the end of the transition period (September the 17th, 2024), but are also recommended to be followed before then.

The below logotypes shall be added to the cover page. Other logotypes than those listed below shall not be added to the cover page of the EPD.

  • The logotype of the EPD Owner shall be included
  • The logotype of the International EPD System, the national/regional licensee or CLC shall be included
  • One brand/product logotype of the EPD owner, may be included when relevant
